How browser-based processing works here
Each selected page is redrawn — as vector content, not a rasterized image — onto a new, larger page sized to fit your requested margins, directly in your browser's memory. Pages you don't select are left completely untouched. Nothing about your document is ever transmitted anywhere.

Supported files: Standard, non-encrypted PDF files. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs aren't currently supported.
Honest limitations
- The original page content is not scaled down by default — margins physically enlarge the page rather than shrinking what's already on it.
- Interactive form fields, annotations, comments, links, and bookmarks are not preserved on a page that's had margins added — only its visible vector content and images are redrawn onto the new, larger page.
- The added margin area has no explicit background fill — it will typically appear white in standard PDF viewers, matching the page's own default background.
No artificial daily task limits. Processing capacity depends on your device, browser, file size, and page count.
Troubleshooting
My pages got bigger instead of the content getting smaller
That's expected — Add Margins adds physical space around your existing content rather than shrinking it. Use Resize PDF Pages first if you want to fit content into a fixed page size instead.
I need a different margin on each edge
Switch to Independent margins and enter a separate value for top, right, bottom, and left.
I get an error that the page is too large
Your requested margins would push the page beyond the maximum supported PDF page size. Choose smaller margin values.
