How browser-based processing works here
Your PDF opens in your browser, where the watermark text is drawn onto each selected page locally using your device. The finished file never leaves your device during this process.
- No file upload endpoint exists on this page
- No database or server-side file storage
- Output is generated locally as a browser Blob file
Supported files: Standard, non-encrypted PDF files. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs aren't currently supported.
Honest limitations
- Text watermarks only — no image or logo watermarks, and no tiled or repeated watermark pattern.
- Uses a standard Helvetica font, which supports common Latin characters. Some scripts, symbols, and emoji aren't supported, and custom font uploads aren't available.
- This tool adds a watermark; it doesn't detect or remove watermarks already present in a PDF.
- Very long watermark text combined with a large font size may extend beyond the edges of small pages.
- Bookmarks and outlines haven't been separately tested and aren't guaranteed to carry over.
No artificial daily task limits. Processing capacity depends on your device, browser, file size, and page count.
Troubleshooting
The watermark is too dark or too light
Adjust the opacity slider until the watermark is visible without overwhelming the page content.
I only want a watermark on some pages
Switch from "all pages" to selected pages and choose exactly which ones need it.
I need to remove a watermark, not add one
This tool only adds watermarks; removing an existing watermark isn't supported in the current version.
