How browser-based processing works here
Each selected page is redrawn — as vector content, not a rasterized image — onto a fresh US Letter page, directly in your browser's memory. If you add a margin, it's applied inside that fixed Letter page, so the page size never changes. Pages you don't select are left completely untouched, and nothing about your document is ever transmitted anywhere.

Supported files: Standard, non-encrypted PDF files. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs aren't currently supported.
Honest limitations
- Every output page is exactly Letter-sized — there is no option to choose a different destination size from this tool (use Resize PDF Pages for that).
- Pages keep their original proportions — there is no option to stretch or distort a page to fill Letter exactly.
- Interactive form fields, annotations, comments, links, and bookmarks are not preserved on a converted page — only its visible vector content and images are redrawn onto the new Letter page.
No artificial daily task limits. Processing capacity depends on your device, browser, file size, and page count.
Troubleshooting
Fill is cropping part of my page
Fill scales a page up until it completely covers the Letter sheet, which can crop the edges if the source proportions don't match Letter's. Switch to Fit to guarantee nothing is cropped.
I need A4, not Letter
This tool always converts to US Letter. Use PDF to A4 instead if you need the ISO A4 standard.
My margin input was rejected
A margin that's too large leaves no room for content on the Letter page. Try a smaller margin, in points (72 points = 1 inch).

What is US Letter size in inches and mm?
US Letter is 8.5 x 11 inches, or 215.9 x 279.4mm (612 x 792 points). It's the standard paper size across the United States and Canada, in place of the ISO A4 size used in most other countries.
Why convert to Letter instead of A4?
US and Canadian printers, offices, and many government and business forms expect Letter specifically. A4 is slightly taller and narrower, so an A4 PDF can print with different margins or clipped content on Letter-only printers and scanners.
Will this add margins to my pages?
Only if you set one — an optional uniform margin is available and simply insets where content is placed inside the fixed Letter page. Leave it at 0 for content to fill right up to Fit or Fill's natural edges.
Does converting to Letter reduce my document's quality?
No — pages are redrawn as vector content wherever the source allows it, so text and vector graphics stay sharp at any size.
