ItsaPDF Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the ItsaPDF Android app ("ItsaPDF", "the app") handles your files and data. It applies to the ItsaPDF mobile app (package com.itsapdf.app); the separate policy for the itsapdf.com website is available at itsapdf.com/privacy.

Your files

Every PDF and image tool in the app runs entirely on your device. Files you open are read and processed locally — the app has no upload endpoint, no backend server that receives file content, and no database that stores your files. We do not see, receive, or retain the contents, filenames, or metadata of any file you process.

What's stored on your device

The app keeps a small amount of local data on your device only, never transmitted anywhere:

  • Favorites — the tool slugs you've starred, so they appear at the top of Home.
  • Theme — your light/dark/system display preference.
  • Minimal processing activity — a short local history of which tool you used, when (timestamp), and whether it succeeded. This never includes a filename, file path, URI, or the contents of any document.

You can remove all of this at any time by clearing the app's storage in Android Settings or by uninstalling the app — both permanently delete it from your device, since none of it is stored anywhere else.

Advertising — Google AdMob and UMP

ItsaPDF is free to use and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. Before any ad is requested, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent choices where required by your region (for example, the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), and provides a "Privacy choices" option in Settings so you can review or change your choice at any time.

Through Google Mobile Ads and related Google services, the following may be collected and shared with Google:

  • IP address / approximate location
  • App interactions (e.g. which ad formats are shown, engagement with them)
  • Diagnostic information (e.g. crash and performance data related to ad delivery)
  • Device and advertising identifiers

This information is used for:

  • Advertising, including ad delivery and (where you've consented) personalization
  • Analytics related to ad performance
  • Fraud prevention, security, and legal/regulatory compliance

We do not control what Google's own SDKs collect beyond what we configure — seeGoogle's Privacy Policyfor how Google itself handles this data.

Data security

Any network traffic the app's third-party SDKs (Google Mobile Ads, UMP) send is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) using Google's own infrastructure. Your file contents are never part of that traffic — they never leave your device in the first place, encrypted or otherwise.

Accounts

ItsaPDF has no user accounts, sign-in, or registration of any kind.

Children

ItsaPDF is not directed to children and is not designed or marketed for use by children.

Data retention and deletion

Local app data (favorites, theme, activity history) stays on your device only until you clear it — see "What's stored on your device" above. We hold no server-side copy of it to separately retain or delete, since it's never transmitted to us. Data collected by Google's advertising SDKs is retained and deleted according to Google's own policies, linked above.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data handling changes — a new SDK, a new ad format, a new feature that collects data — this page will be updated to reflect that before the change ships.
